If you are still missing out on the action, then let us take you through this impressive tale of an ex-convict turn undercover FBI agent, highlighting 5 reasons why you should be seeing this movie as soon as you can!

1.) The Award-Winning Rosamund Pike:

The talented actress who bagged an Empire award for ‘Best Actress’ as well as an Oscars nomination, for her amazing exploits in Gone Girl , plays a pivotal role as an FBI agent in this movie.

With her well known ability to interpret roles excellently, one can only expect the same masterful performance that made her a reference point, in this movie as well!

2.) Filmed In an Abandoned Prison:

Prison

The Informer tells us how Pete Koslow returned to prison on FBI’s orders to infiltrate a crime ring.

This part of the story, featuring expectedly, episodes of violence, was actually filmed in an abandoned prison in Gloucester, UK.

Thus, if you thought the prison vibes were all make-belief, effects or all just clever cinematography then you were mistaken.

Using a real prison brings to the fore, the actual scenes of what prisoners actually have to deal with especially when fellow inmates are particularly hostile as is the case with many people doing time.

This shows an authentic side to the story and why seeing this movie would always be a good idea.

3. NYPD vs FBI:

NYPD Police

The NYPD locking horns with the FBI has always made for a dramatic and pretty entertaining spectacle (on the light side of things).

Thus, when Officer Grens of the NYPD is on a mission to uncover what actually happened to his dead colleague, we get the promise of another NYPD vs. FBI showdown, because Pete Koslow – the FBI Informant – was very present, when Grens’s dead colleague was gunned down.

Exciting isn’t it?

4.) The Reputation of Joel Kinnaman:

Joel Kinnaman

Joel Kinnaman who played the role of Pete Koslow in The Informer has held his own, in the Swedish and American movie industries. His acting prowess earned him the Guldbagge Award for ‘Best Actor’ for his role in Easy Money.

Since then, he has featured in a number of A-grade movies including Suicide Squad, RoboCop and Run All Night.

Joel Kinnaman in his role as the main protagonist in The Informer brings lots of talent and experience and seeing how he wriggles his way out of the choking grip of Crime rings, the NYPD and not-so-benevolent FBI bosses would be a delight to watch.

5. The Informer producer:

Basil Iwanyk produced this dramatic crime movie and if the name does not ring a bell, then be awed by his work equally as a producer in the John Wick series, The Expendables, Sicario and The Town.

With such an imposing portfolio, we are assured that The Informer would follow suit and impress her audience, leaving you to want more, at every turn!

So, what are you waiting for?
