Still going strong, she has featured in an array of movies that has contributed to a robust career that spread beyond movies.
1.) Her Early Years
Chika Ike was born in the busy town of Onitsha in Anambra, South Eastern Nigeria where she would begin her sojourn into acting.
At age 6, she reportedly took playing in church dramas, a foundation for what would be a blossoming acting career.
In an interview, Chika said her father had wanted a son at the time of her birth. This had instilled in her a motivation to prove she was just as useful as a female child.
Thus, personal development became second nature and this was the all-important precursor to the success that she is today.
2.) Her Acting Career
Chika started big screen roles in 2005; her talent shone in that movie, Sweet Love that in the same year, she nabbed her first major role, in the movie; Bless the Child.
Since then, she has featured in top gun roles in movies such as Assassination, Miss Teacher, Unstoppable, One Night Stand and many more, raking in critical acclaim with award nominations tagging along!
Chika is also the main star of the 2020 release – Small Chops, hitting cinema screens on Friday, January 31, 2020.
3.) Personal Life
Chika was married to Tony Eberiri from 2006 to 2013. Since then, she has remained single focusing on her career and personal development which has seen her soar to new heights!
Away from movies, Chika is also a TV host, Philanthropist and a thriving Entrepreneur.
Her exploits has seen her run; ‘Fancy Nancy’- a fashion brand she has run since 2011, ‘Chika Ike Productions’ – a screenplay production outfit that produced Miss Teacher (2015) as well as African Diva which is a reality TV show focused on empowering the young African woman.
She also founded Help A Child an NGO focused on the welfare of street kids.
