From a young age, Mercy was exposed to different Nigerian cultures together with their accompanying sensibilities.
She was born in Lagos State to parents that hailed from Okene in Kogi State. The fourth of five children, she would later begin her primary school studies in Calabar, Cross River state from where she would again, move back to Lagos to continue her primary education.
Again she would move, this time to Port Harcourt in Rivers state where she would remain throughout her secondary education. Her father being a Naval Officer was often on transfer to different states, and this perhaps is the major reason for the country tour!
Such a background must have exposed her to the beauty of Nigeria’s diversity and this may have awoken the urge to get creative with her experiences.
No sooner had Mercy left Secondary, School, she auditioned for a role in The Maid and got her spot! That was the beginning of things to come!

Still in the heat of starring in movies, Mercy plays a major role in the January 2020 release, ‘The Legend Of Inikpi’ in VIVA Cinemas from January 24.
